To manufacture the rivets, the RIVETECH team obtained recycled aluminum through the donation of Professor Paulo Guedes, a student of the Foundry Processes discipline. The next step will be to fabricate some test specimens, in order to analyze its mechanical behavior at the 35 kN traction. Since all aluminum obtained will be melted together and have some different properties, it is necessary to perform mechanical tests to obtain a more precise value related to the tensile strength, modulus of elasticity, yield stress and other properties that characterize the material.
